    The meaning of the 6 indicators of the fiber optic transceiver

    Post time: Nov-03-2020

    Indicator light description of optical fiber transceiver:

    1.LAN indicator light: The lights of the LAN1, 2, 3, 4 jacks represent the indicator lights of the intranet network connection status, generally flashing or long-term on. If it is not on, it means the network is not connected successfully or there is no power. If it is on for a long time, it means the network is normal, but there is no data flow or download. The opposite is flashing, indicating that the network is downloading or uploading data at this time.

    2. POWER indicator light: it is used to turn on or turn off the optical fiber transceiver. It is always on during use, and it is off when closed.

    3. POTS indicator light: POTS1 and 2 are indicator lights indicating whether the intranet telephone line is connected. The light status is constant and blinking, and the color is green. Constant light means normal use and can be connected to the soft switch, but there is no service flow transmission. Off means no power or unable to register to the switching device. When flashing, it means business flow.

    4. Indicator light LOS: indicator light indicating whether the external optical fiber is connected. Flicker means that the ONU’s efficiency in receiving optical power is somewhat low, but the sensitivity of the optical receiver is high. The steady light means that the optical module power of ONU PON has been turned off.

    5. Indicator light PON: This is the status indicator light indicating whether the external optical fiber is connected. The steady light and flashing are in normal use, and the light off means that the ONU has not completed OAM discovery and registration.

    The meaning of the 6 indicators of the fiber optic transceiver:

    PWR: Light on indicates that the DC5V power supply is working normally;

    FDX: Light on means that the optical fiber transmits data in full duplex mode;

    FX 100: The light is on, indicating that the optical fiber transmission rate is 100Mbps;

    TX 100: When the light is on, it indicates that the transmission rate of the twisted pair is 100Mbps, and the light is off, that the transmission rate of the twisted pair is 10Mbps;

    FX Link/Act: Long light indicates that the optical fiber link is connected correctly; flashing light indicates that data is being transmitted in the optical fiber;

    TX Link/Act: The long light indicates that the twisted pair link is properly connected; the blinking light indicates that there is data transmitting 10/100M on the twisted pair.
