    2.4GWiFi Protocol Standard

    2.4GWiFi operates in the 2.4GHz frequency band, with a frequency range of 2400-2483.5MHz. The main standard followed is the IEEE802.11b/g/n standard developed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Below, we will provide a detailed introduction to these standards:

    • IEEE802.11 is a wireless local area network standard originally developed by IEEE, mainly used to solve wireless access for users and user terminals in office and campus networks. The business is mainly limited to data access, and the maximum speed can only reach 2Mb/s. Due to the inability of IEEE 802.11 to meet people's needs in terms of speed and transmission distance, this technology is outdated.

    • The IEEE802.11b standard, also known as wireless fidelity technology, uses the internationally recognized 2.4GHz free frequency band for direct sequence spread spectrum, with a bandwidth of 83.5MHz and a maximum data transmission rate of 11Mbps. The transmission range without linear propagation is up to 300 meters outdoors and up to 100 meters indoors without obstacles, making it the most commonly used wireless transmission protocol today.

    • IEEE802.11g is a hybrid standard that adapts to the traditional 802.11b standard and provides a data transfer rate of 11Mbps per second at 2.4GHz frequency. It adopts enhanced technologies such as dual channel bundling, which increases the wireless channel transmission bandwidth to 108Mbps and can provide real TCP/IP throughput of 80 to 90Mbps.

    • IEEE802.11n adopts MIMO (Multiple In Multiple Out) and OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) technologies, which can increase the transmission rate of WLAN from 54Mbps provided by current 802.11a and 802.11g to 108Mbps, or even up to 600Mbps, and can support high-quality voice and video transmission.
