    A 2.4G WiFi Protocol Standard

    2.4G WiFi operates in the 2.4GHz band with an operating frequency range of 2400~2483.5MHz.The main standard followed is the IEEE802.11b/g/n standard set by IEEE (Association of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).Here are these criteria in detail:

    • IEEE802.11 is a wireless LAN standard originally formulated by IEEE. It is mainly used to solve the wireless access to users and user terminals in office LAN and campus networks. Service is mainly limited to data access, with a maximum rate of 2Mb / s.This technology is outdated because IEEE802.11 is inadequate in both rate and transmission distance.
    • The IEEE802.11b standard, also known as wireless fidelity technology, uses the internationally regulated 2.4GHz free frequency band for direct sequence expansion, with 83.5MHz width and a maximum data transmission rate of 11Mbps.The maximum transmission range is 300 meters outdoors and 100 meters indoors without indoor accessibility, which is the most used wireless transmission protocol now.
    • IEEE802.11g is a hybrid standard that adapts to the traditional 802.11b standard and provides data transfer rates of 11Mbps per second at 2.4GHz.It uses enhancement technologies such as dual-channel bundling, which improves the wireless channel transmission bandwidth to 108Mbps and can provide a real TCP / IP throughput of between 80 and 90Mbps.
    • IEEE802.11n uses MIMO (multi-in and multi-out) and OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) technology, which can improve the transmission rate of WLAN from the current 54Mbps provided by 802.11a and 802.11g to 108Mbps, even up to 600Mbps, and can support high-quality voice and video transmission.
