    Talking about the basic characteristics and application of optical transceiver

    A fiber optic transceiver is an Ethernet transmission media conversion unit that interchanges short-distance twisted-pair electrical signals with long-distance optical signals. In many places, it is also called a photoelectric converter or fiber converter (Fiber Converter).

    Fiber transceivers are commonly used in real-world network environments where Ethernet cables cannot be covered and fiber must be used to extend transmission distances. They also play a significant role in helping connect the last kilometer of fiber to metropolitan networks and beyond.With fiber optic transceivers, there is also an inexpensive solution for users who need to upgrade their systems from copper to fiber, but lack capital, manpower or time.In order to ensure full compatibility with network devices such as network CARDS, Repeaters, hubs and switches from other manufacturers, fiber optic transceivers must strictly comply with Ethernet standards such as 10base-t, 100base-tx, 100base-fx, IEEE802.3 and IEEE802.3u.In addition, EMC should comply with FCCPart15 in terms of electromagnetic radiation protection.Nowadays, due to the strong construction of residential networks, campus networks and enterprise networks by major domestic operators, the use of optical transceiver products is also constantly increasing to better meet the construction needs of access networks.

    Optical fiber transceivers generally have the following basic characteristics:

    4.Rack type equipment can provide hot plug function for easy maintenance and uninterrupted upgrade.
    5.The network management device can provide network diagnosis, upgrade, status report, abnormal situation report and control functions, and can provide complete operation log and alarm log.
    6.The device uses a 1+1 power supply design to support ultra-wide power supply voltage for power protection and automatic switching.
    7.Supports an extremely wide operating temperature range.
    8.Support full transmission distance (0 ~ 120 km)
